Sitter / Nanny
I was born and raised in NYC and Long Island and have over 20 years of combined experience in child care, including extensive experience with infants, toddlers, and special needs. I love a Montessori approach and try to imbue joy into all activities, even the dreaded 'Clean-Up Time'. I am also an ideal bed-time sitter - holding two degrees in opera basically makes me a professional story-teller (I do the voices)! My philosophy is this: child care should extend to family care. If I were a mother, I would want to hire someone who, no matter what job they do, they do it with enthusiasm, specificity, and finesse. I believe that "parent care" should be included in child care. My current "Mom" adores the home organization and meal-prep services I provide while the girls are napping. Breaks are important, but I am not one of these sitters who is okay with getting paid to sit around. Not only am I committed to bringing joyful care to your little one, but I want to enhance your life as well and put a smile on your face!

I’m 19 and since maybe 8 or 9 I been taking care of most kids In my family from siblings, to my cousins and my nephew. I’ve taken care of kids from a few months old to 7 years old but I’m okay with kids older than 7 years old I like to make sure that the kids are always comfortable and if there is a schedule make sure that everything is done the way is supposed to be and also teach them along the way and help them academically or whatever it may be that they need help with.

Night Nanny · Sitter / Nanny
Hi families! I’m Sarah and have been caring for newborns and infants for over 4 years. My primary responsibilities include feeding, bathing, changing diapers, sleep training, assisting mothers with breastfeeding, doing the baby’s laundry, and sterilizing bottles. I have significant experience with preemies, colic and sleep training. I enjoy reading to my infant charges, and making sure that they are always happy and comfortable. I am patient, caring, and very knowledgeable about infants’ needs. I can also help new parents become confident parents. Upon request, I can teach parents all aspects of caring for the baby. I’m very flexible and easy to communicate with parents although love the areas clean and tidy. I’m full vaccinated, okay with pets and drive as well. I'm open to do rotational positions or live in during the weekend.

I have been nannying for over 17 years! I grew up in the state of Kansas, my family is from Cuba, and I live in New York City. I am an artist who loves to be creative through music, painting, drawing, dance, and photography. I love children & teens and connect well with them by listening to their needs, opinions, dreams and offer advice. I have worked with families of busy professions and organized schedules, picked up kids to and from school, helped with homework, did something fun, cleaned up around the house, and developed genuine friendships with the kids. I’m positive, open-minded, coachable, and take direction. I have my own vehicle and valid driver’s license. Available for overnight babysitting at $430 / 24 hours.

Jeannie G.
Sitter / Nanny
Jeannie has over 15 years of experience working with children. After many years working in the fashion industry, she knew she needed a change. She had always loved working with children and felt she would be a natural fit in the field, as both her parents worked in education. In 2011 Jeannie received her master's degree in Elementary Education and was even placed on the Dean's list! Jeannie has a plethora of experience working with elementary-age students in education. Yet she also has worked with students in various recreational settings. From teaching in New York City private schools, Los Angeles Montessorri schools, directing after-school enrichment programs, at-home tutoring, and babysitting, Jeannie has done it all! Please note that I charge $30/hr to work with special needs children.

***photo posted with permission of parents*** HI! My name is Brittany and I am a lifelong Brooklynite currently based in Prospect Heights. I take a lot of pride in helping kids navigate the world, develop confidence and self-esteem, be kind to themselves and others, and I always ensure that they have fun and feel safe! I have 15+ years experience with kids of all ages (newborn-teens). I started babysitting as a teenager, went on to work with children/ adults with developmental disabilities, and spent time as a teacher's assistant in a preschool where I worked primarily with children on the Autism spectrum. I also have 7+ years of experience as an English/ writing tutor for high school and college students - my specialty is essay writing. My bachelors degree is in film studies, and I pursued a masters in forensic psychology with courses in child development and trauma. I have a Montessori and Floortime orientation – I like to meet kids where they're at. I provide structure and discipline when it seems necessary, but overall my goal is to support and foster kids' autonomy, creativity, and imaginative play.
