Sitter / Nanny · Night Nanny

Growing up I have always had a passion for working and helping children which is why I obtained a Bachelor's degree similar to that. Currently, I work as day care teacher teaching 2 year olds and I can honestly say that I love it despite it not being as easy all the time but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Being and teaching children brings me joy because not only are they adorable but because they are the next generation that'll prosper in making a change for other future kids to come as well. Additionally, being someone that they can cry to, smile with and be upset with is all part of why I enjoy what do all because I love being their companion and vice versa. Although, my experience with children may not be as lengthy, I adore and have a passion for children that and will treat them as if their my own, although, I don’t have any at the moment. Likewise, my end goal is to be a possible role model to and for them aside from their parents and make a difference in the child life.

I'm CPR Certified and also a certified new born care specialist. To me working with infants is very interesting and a joy to watch them develop and move to different stages of their life beautifully. They need all the care and attention because it's also their most fragile stage in life as a little human being. I also enjoy helping new parents along that journey because of my experiences I've learnt that they too also needs help. I will always respect their wishes and may suggest ways or techniques to them on how to go about things such as feeding the baby, burping them. Changing their clothes or even carrying them, the simple things that some of them are sometimes a bit scared of letting them know it's ok to make mistakes and it's a learning process for everyone because every child is different. I love and enjoy the outdoors so once they're of age I suggest classes, find kids alike in age so they have playmates and start their creative process. I also do arts and crafts, takes trips to the zoo ,Library or museums anything that keeps their minds stimulated and occupied. I enjoy my times with all kids and my goal is to ensure that they are safe and happy at all time. I'm huge on communication so I will send pictures or videos and also text the parents and let them know of our whereabouts at all times. Note I have a 3.5-hour booking minimum per session.

Night Nanny

Hi, I'm Hyacinth and I'm so excited to meet you and your beautiful family. I have recently completed a newborn specialist assignment which I have the pleasure of being a long standing family member. I'm hoping to build the same bond with future families who will hire me. I work mostly with newborns 0 - 3 months old. I have more than 10 years of experience as a Newborn Specialist and Nanny, caring for children from birth and up. I help parents with everything from organizing the nursery to feeding, bathing and sleep training. I also have experience introducing first-time parents to newborn care, and have had a lot of success sleep training infants (when they are ready) using the Ferber method. I also have experience with twins, preemies, colic, circumcision care, umbilical cord care and lactation support. I help keep the home organized and prepared for each night to go as smoothly as possible. I keep a careful log of the baby's activities throughout the night to keep parents informed about the baby's preferences and habits while they are asleep, awake or feeding. Clients describe me as soothing, calm and collected. I have worked with different types of parenting philosophies and am respectful of each family's unique circumstances and preferences. In order to prepare for a successful night with newborns, I'd like to start night nanny sessions no later than 8 pm. Currently, I'm available to 6 nights per week starting mid May and 24 hours if desired by clients.

Sitter / Nanny

Megan is creative, caring and has a gentle demeanor that young children adore. Since young, she had been the go-to babysitter for her cousins, eventually working with 6 other families, caring for children from newborn through 10 years of age. Her newborn experience comes from working as a mother's helper, assisting parents with feeding, diaper changing, and light house chores (tidying up and dishes). She has also babysat numerous toddlers through grade schoolers, doing school pick-ups, meal preparation and helping with homework. She loves to cook, and can help parents prepare family meals from scratch. She likes to play and read to her younger charges, and enjoys fun, creative and active projects (day trips, arts and crafts, cooking lessons, game nights, etc.) Never to let a dull moment pass, she once made up a game with her young charges called "steal the bacon" (it involves a football and math). Meagan is also a mother and part-time event planner, and she is working on completing her degree at Five Towns College in Long Island.
