Lana N.
Sitter / Nanny
Lana is calm and adventurous, and loves working with children. Since high school, Lana has worked with children ages 3-15 in a variety of roles, including as a private nanny, and camp counselor at a sleep-away camp. For the past 2 years, Lana was an AmeriCorps math tutor at a charter school in Connecticut, where she tutored math to kids up to 9th grade. She enjoys engaging kids in both physical and creative activities, including capture the flag, basketball, hide-and-seek, swimming (she’s a great swimmer!), arts and crafts and painting. She would like to work with a family that is open-minded and allows their kids creative freedom to make mistakes and try new things.
She has cared for children who are on the spectrum and have ADD/ADHD.
Lana graduated with a bachelors in international relations and Spanish, and studied abroad in Mexico. She would love to be a role model for the kids she cares for. Her long-time goal is to work with children one on one in a small setting – be it a classroom or private childcare.
Lana is happy to help with light housekeeping and cooking. She follows recipes easily and is happy to follow any special diets (Kosher, gluten-free, paleo, vegan, etc.).
She prefers to work for a family full-time, and is open to being a live-in nanny.
