Hello! My name is Yoleiry. I am a Latina who was born and raised in New York. I graduated from Hunter College with a major in psychology. My degree has helped me develop and understand different ways to help a child grow in all aspects. I began working as an after-school counselor in an elementary school right after graduating high school and haven’t stopped working with children since.
As an after school counselor, I helped students with homework, led extracurricular activities like sports, arts & crafts, cooking, science experiments, games and more. I am currently a supervisor at a daycare with different age groups such as: infants, toddlers, preschool and school age. I love working with children; it is something I want to continue doing within my career. The best part about working with them is that they get to learn while having fun. I love guiding and helping them in the right direction. It is phenomenal to see kids grow in all aspects: mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally.
