Jelesa C.
Sitter / Nanny
My Name is Jelesa Covin and I am 32 years old. I am currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program to earn my Associate Degree. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia but, I was raised in Boligee, Alabama, a small town outside of Tuscaloosa. I moved back to Georgia around 4th grade, where I have been residing since. I grew up in a small town so I always love to be outside playing, using my imagination, and hanging with my friends.
Growing up, I've always had a passion and sweet spot for babies and newborns. I started babysitting at the age of 13, and I gradually worked my way up from there. Once I gained experience in babysitting I proudly transitioned to a daycare. Working in a daycare has helped shape and mold me to be a more responsible and attentive childcare provider. I also have childcare experience as a Newborn Care Specialist, nanny, Paraprofessional SPNE Teacher, and volunteer at church nurseries.
I enrolled in a course to enhance my skills in caring for infants, and I am now a Master Newborn Care Specialist. I'm always looking for new ways to improve and show my passion for children. Being a childcare provider is rewarding to me. I enjoy singing and dancing, costume play, and outdoor activities while providing childcare. I have patience with children as well as speaking to children on his or her level of comfort. I'm open to all activities when it comes to the little ones. I provide a safe environment for the child's well-being. I ensure the family will be pleased to know they have a caregiver they can trust.
