Growing up the oldest of 4 brothers, I have a lifetime of experience of guiding and educating kids to add to my three years as a babysitter and tutor in my last years of high school. Most of the families I have worked with have had kids ranging between 6 and 12 with a few exceptions of toddlers. I am comfortable with most ages. As a babysitter, I would enthusiastically follow any and all directions given to me in terms of activities to do with the kids or tasks around the house. I am always excited to meet new families and learn about their unique quirks. (francophone families as well) I excel at playing games with them, making food, talking to them, reading with them etc.. As a tutor, I would arrange a weekly schedule with structured hours around what will be focused on. I will expect engagement from the student and work to be done outside of our hours to ensure a good learning experience. My goal would be to help the student in every way I can which will require cooperation. In particular, I excel in tutoring French language, writing, or history subjects. Adrien

Hello! I'm Sophie, I'm really good with kids and following directions. I love kids and helping out parents. I have been babysitting around my town for years and I have always been asked to go back and help again. I’ve been babysitting since I was 13 and have worked with children from newborn to 8th grade. Additionally, I’ve worked at a daycare and a summer camp where I worked with all ages. I have experience in theatre so one of my specialties is creative, imaginative play to encourage children to develop their creative sides and express themselves. I’m outgoing, caring, and very serious about having fun while staying safe!

I'm a dedicated night nanny, childcare provider with more than 6+ years of experience in delivering care to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Offering solid childcare techniques, problem solving, and analytical skills along with First Aid, CPR, and ICS (Infant Care Specialist). I have a broad range of skills in newborn care, including assisting new mothers in umbilical cord care, lactation, bathing and diapering. I routinely help parents with preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing baby bottles, and carefully document babies' feeding, sleeping and diapering schedule. Since 2016, I have worked with newborns and infants as well as children up to 5 years old. I also help parents with light housekeeping, laundry and children's meal preparation, time permitting. I love to engage children in stimulating educational games, trips, and nature activities. I will be more than happy to share my experience and knowledge in newborn care essentials, and helping babies establish healthy feeding and sleeping routines, which eventually help them (and their parents) sleep through the night. I currently get tested for COVID-19 (PCR) every week. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

Rosalyn B.
Sitter / Nanny
Hello! My name is Rosalyn. I have six plus years of early childhood experience (pre-k and second grade). I have a Master's in Early Childhood Education, which I obtained from CUNY Hunter College. Before working professionally in childcare, I worked for various families in the Astoria and Long Island City area, caring for children whose ages ranged from 3 months old to 12 years of age. Currently, I am home with my own little one, who just turned 10 months old. Becoming a parent myself has given me an entirely new perspective on caring for children and a newfound respect for parents. I am looking to get back into the field of childcare, and am hoping to find part-time, flexible positions that suit my own family and yours! During my time as a preschool teacher, I gained experience working with children with varying abilities, talents and needs! As the head teacher, I worked on teams with my students related resources (Speech language pathologists, physical and occupational therapists) updating each other and working together to create the best possible outcomes for each child.
