Gabriella B.
Night Nanny
I am a NICU nurse with 9 years of experience caring for the most delicate newborns. My background has given me extensive expertise in newborn care, safety, and support. I am passionate about helping families during the early stages of their baby's life and am excited to bring my skills and dedication to a newborn night nurse position.
I began my nursing career as a new graduate registered nurse (August, 2016) working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). What struck me immediately was how calm and quiet the unit was, even with more than 60 babies! As I dove deeper into NICU nursing, I noticed that every baby followed a consistent schedule called “care times." Which included our nursing assessments, vital signs, feedings, and sometimes medication administration. For me, it felt like we were shaping their routines right from birth. Of course, these babies were there because they were either born prematurely or had underlying medical conditions requiring specialized care. Watching these tiny infants fall into rhythms, with some even developing sleep cycles at varying gestational ages, made me realize how possible it is to help mold healthy sleep habits from the very beginning. One of the most rewarding moments is when parents of NICU graduates call to thank the nurses who cared for their baby for the schedule and routine we helped establish for their baby from day 1. Fast Forward to Jan 30th 2024, I become a mother to a beautiful baby boy, Nolan who sleeps from 5pm-6am every night.
