Maggie loves working with children, as she is constantly inspired by their curiosity and wonder, sense of humor, observations, and resiliency. She is an early childhood educator based in Southampton, NY with a masters degree in Human Learning and Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Maggie draws inspiration from the Reggio Emilia philosophy in her role teaching preschool and pre-kindergarten children. She believes that through play, children learn important social-emotional skills. Maggie also has experience as an environmental educator, as she is passionate about cultivating environmental stewardship in children. Maggie has experience designing learning environments that meets the developmental needs of children in a play-based, engaging manner.
Maggie can help with transportation, light house keeping, and meal preparation for children. She is comfortable supervising swimming. She is looking for occasional babysitting jobs in the Southampton area for July and August. Maggie has a very flexible schedule, and is available both during the day and evening, and some weekends. Maggie is very reliable, caring, and fun-loving.
While babysitting, Maggie enjoys supporting arts and craft projects, imaginary play, building with blocks or Legos, reading, puzzles and board games, or singing along and dancing to children's music!
