Tina S.
Sitter / Nanny
Tina has more than eight years of paid childcare experience, and comes highly recommended by families in both Tampa and New York City. She earned both a Master's degree in medical sciences and a graduate certificate in health sciences from the University of South Florida's Morsani College of Medicine, as well as a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Tampa. Her passion for caring for others, especially infants and children, is demonstrated by her nine years of experience volunteering at a Florida hospital in both the neonatal ICU and the pediatric floor. Through this experience, she has become very familiar with the specialized care that newborns and infants require, as well as some of the more common issues that new parents might face. She completed a hospital-based training program to become a "NICU nanny," which involved six months of working with nurses and other medical staff to learn how to safely feed, bathe, change, and soothe infants with complex medical issues.
Tina also works at Tribeca Pediatrics, so she has been thoroughly trained in child development and is comfortable providing age-appropriate care for children with medical needs. She holds a current certification in basic life support and CPR for adults, infants, and children. Tina has also completed a course from the American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma on identifying and controlling life-threatening bleeding. She hopes to utilize her experience to help young families give their children the best possible start in life.
