I have been working as a professional baby nurse and night nurse since 2014. As a former teacher I came to realize that being around children was my “zen place.” I just knew that babies and children loved me and I loved them! I am experienced in caring for babies with special needs and premature infants. I work well with both calm and colicky babies. I’m skilled at creating age-appropriate activities to encourage the development of children’s fine motor, gross motor and cognitive skills. I have traveled with families to care for children, allowing parents to share private time while giving children fun adventures in diverse environments. I have worked with special needs kids from reflux to physical disabilities where the child needed extra care and or attention. I have also helped with therapy sessions for the child. Prior to becoming a baby nurse, I worked as a pre-trained teacher with the Jamaican Ministry of Education. I supervised the care of large groups of children, and helped foster their reasoning and problem-solving skills through active exploration games and activities. When I come around I am the extension of love you need to give your kid when you need a break or just some time to yourself. It’s my joy!😊 I am open to 24-hour sessions. My rate is $800/day. For sessions in or out of California transportation costs are additional to my hourly rate.

My foray into Nannying came easily. My neighborhood had a 3:1 ratio of kids to adults. It was a beautiful area and being one of the oldest it was easy to corral and have fun with all ages. I grew up in affluent area but the focus was on “what do you love”? And “follow your passions!” Kids, Sports and animals were my trifecta! I’ve traveled the world, have met and worked with dignitaries with all this said, everyone just wants their kids to be happy, laughing, well-adjusted, thriving and cared for emotionally, physical and yes even spiritually. I often feel like Mary Poppins with tricks in my bag! It comes easily, naturally and I have yet to work with a child where the parents don’t say “you are amazing, they are so happy and love you!” I love what I do and simply stated I think it shows!
