Aaliyah B.
Sitter / Nanny
Hiii! My name is Aaliyah. I’m based in Bushwick/Williamsburg. I draw inspiration from the Montessori independent learning techniques. I believe that through independence, children can develop healthy social-emotional skills and confidence. As a babysitter, I’ve worked with infants and toddlers from ages newborn to 4-5 years old! I have a very bubbly personality and a soft soul. I’m patient and love reading stories to kids or even playing pretend! Other activities: Anolas Camp | New York, Brooklyn Camp Counselor | 05/2017 - 07/2019 - Maintained a consistent level of service quality for cleanliness, communication with parents, and childcare - Planned, lead, and implemented camp programs for children - Supervised campers and ensured their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being

I have been babysitting for over a year for families with children between 1 and 12 years old. With children, I believe patience, love and authenticity are the most important. I'm an extrovert and enjoy playing with kids at their level. My younger children sometimes think I'm their age and they like to call me by my nickname, Jude-ster. I enjoy reading and going to the park with children, and am happy to help them with their homework and learning. I attended Brooklyn College for accounting and public speaking. Prior to becoming a nanny, I worked in production management in the garment industry. I have received both doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Michael C.
Sitter / Nanny
Hello, my name is Michael and I am a child care giver based in Brooklyn. As the eldest of four children I have basically been a babysitter ever since my siblings were born. I am a currently enrolled in University but I am able to help with pick up and/or part time babysitting. I am currently a third-year university student, but I have been caring for children since I was in high school. I've worked with toddlers between the ages of two and three and middle-schoolers between the ages of five and eleven. I enjoy assisting children with their schoolwork, and if we finish early enough, we can engage in board games, arts and crafts, or a trip to the park. I have helped a child with Autism - remind her to take her medication for her severe asthma, go to appointments, and get her homework done.

I was born and raised in NYC and Long Island and have over 20 years of combined experience in child care, including extensive experience with infants, toddlers, and special needs. I love a Montessori approach and try to imbue joy into all activities, even the dreaded 'Clean-Up Time'. I am also an ideal bed-time sitter - holding two degrees in opera basically makes me a professional story-teller (I do the voices)! My philosophy is this: child care should extend to family care. If I were a mother, I would want to hire someone who, no matter what job they do, they do it with enthusiasm, specificity, and finesse. I believe that "parent care" should be included in child care. My current "Mom" adores the home organization and meal-prep services I provide while the girls are napping. Breaks are important, but I am not one of these sitters who is okay with getting paid to sit around. Not only am I committed to bringing joyful care to your little one, but I want to enhance your life as well and put a smile on your face!
