I was born and raised in NYC and Long Island and have over 20 years of combined experience in child care, including extensive experience with infants, toddlers, and special needs. I love a Montessori approach and try to imbue joy into all activities, even the dreaded 'Clean-Up Time'. I am also an ideal bed-time sitter - holding two degrees in opera basically makes me a professional story-teller (I do the voices)! My philosophy is this: child care should extend to family care. If I were a mother, I would want to hire someone who, no matter what job they do, they do it with enthusiasm, specificity, and finesse. I believe that "parent care" should be included in child care. My current "Mom" adores the home organization and meal-prep services I provide while the girls are napping. Breaks are important, but I am not one of these sitters who is okay with getting paid to sit around.
