I’m 19 and since maybe 8 or 9 I been taking care of most kids In my family from siblings, to my cousins and my nephew. I’ve taken care of kids from a few months old to 7 years old but I’m okay with kids older than 7 years old I like to make sure that the kids are always comfortable and if there is a schedule make sure that everything is done the way is supposed to be and also teach them along the way and help them academically or whatever it may be that they need help with.

I have been nannying for over 17 years! I grew up in the state of Kansas, my family is from Cuba, and I live in New York City. I am an artist who loves to be creative through music, painting, drawing, dance, and photography. I love children & teens and connect well with them by listening to their needs, opinions, dreams and offer advice. I have worked with families of busy professions and organized schedules, picked up kids to and from school, helped with homework, did something fun, cleaned up around the house, and developed genuine friendships with the kids. I’m positive, open-minded, coachable, and take direction. I have my own vehicle and valid driver’s license. Available for overnight babysitting at $430 / 24 hours.

Sitter / Nanny

Jeannie has over 15 years of experience working with children. After many years working in the fashion industry, she knew she needed a change. She had always loved working with children and felt she would be a natural fit in the field, as both her parents worked in education. In 2011 Jeannie received her master's degree in Elementary Education and was even placed on the Dean's list! Jeannie has a plethora of experience working with elementary-age students in education. Yet she also has worked with students in various recreational settings. From teaching in New York City private schools, Los Angeles Montessorri schools, directing after-school enrichment programs, at-home tutoring, and babysitting, Jeannie has done it all! Please note that I charge $30/hr to work with special needs children.

***photo posted with permission of parents*** HI! My name is Brittany and I am a lifelong Brooklynite currently based in Prospect Heights. I take a lot of pride in helping kids navigate the world, develop confidence and self-esteem, be kind to themselves and others, and I always ensure that they have fun and feel safe! I have 15+ years experience with kids of all ages (newborn-teens). I started babysitting as a teenager, went on to work with children/ adults with developmental disabilities, and spent time as a teacher's assistant in a preschool where I worked primarily with children on the Autism spectrum. I also have 7+ years of experience as an English/ writing tutor for high school and college students - my specialty is essay writing. My bachelors degree is in film studies, and I pursued a masters in forensic psychology with courses in child development and trauma. I have a Montessori and Floortime orientation – I like to meet kids where they're at. I provide structure and discipline when it seems necessary, but overall my goal is to support and foster kids' autonomy, creativity, and imaginative play.

I have 25 years of experience as a nursing assistant and night nanny. Since receiving my registered nurse degree in 2014 in St. Vincent, I have focused my time primarily on newborn care and overnight infant care. I love taking care of babies, and supporting parents through some of the most exciting and exhausting times of their lives! I have a broad range of skills in newborn and maternal care, including assisting new mothers in umbilical cord care, lactation, bathing and diapering. I also have experience caring for babies born prematurely and supporting mothers through post-partum depression. I routinely help parents with preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing baby bottles, and carefully document babies' feeding, sleeping and diapering schedule. For interested parents, I am happy to share my experience and knowledge in newborn care essentials such as bathing, diapering, swaddling, calming and massaging babies, and creating developmentally appropriate activities for babies. I am adept at helping babies establish healthy feeding and sleeping routines, which eventually help them (and their parents) sleep through the night! I have worked with numerous families and am great at adapting to and respecting different parenting styles. I have experience caring for individuals with special needs, including autism and cerebral palsy. I love to sing and read to children, and play games with them! For families with 2 or more children, I charge an extra $5/hr for each additional child. For 24-hour bookings, my rate is $550. I charge time and a half for holidays.

I'm a down to earth, fun, trust worthy and reliable person. I enjoy nature and loves to laugh. My main focus is to work with special needs children and to someday open up a daycare for them. Every family and experience is different. Dealing with twins is more technical because you have to really focus on the differences in each child and work accordingly whereas a single child is much easier. I always treat all children in my care with the same amount of love and attention. I'm very big on communication so therefore maintaining an open form with the parents is a must. I help out where ever I can and always offer my assistance if needed or wanted.
