Sitter / Nanny

Megan is creative, caring and has a gentle demeanor that young children adore. Since young, she had been the go-to babysitter for her cousins, eventually working with 6 other families, caring for children from newborn through 10 years of age. Her newborn experience comes from working as a mother's helper, assisting parents with feeding, diaper changing, and light house chores (tidying up and dishes). She has also babysat numerous toddlers through grade schoolers, doing school pick-ups, meal preparation and helping with homework. She loves to cook, and can help parents prepare family meals from scratch. She likes to play and read to her younger charges, and enjoys fun, creative and active projects (day trips, arts and crafts, cooking lessons, game nights, etc.) Never to let a dull moment pass, she once made up a game with her young charges called "steal the bacon" (it involves a football and math). Meagan is also a mother and part-time event planner, and she is working on completing her degree at Five Towns College in Long Island.

Sitter / Nanny

Hi! My name is Kiana and working with children is my passion. I've worked in the the DOE as a family worker for 8 years, gaining extensive experience in child development and special education services. Additionally, I have worked at several day camps in NYC and most recently worked as a Senior Camp Counselor at a sleep-away camp for under privilege kids. There I managed the girls camp cabin where I overlooked campers and organized activities that helped them promote personal growth and team building. My diverse background in education and youth mentorship has equipped me with a deep understanding of child development and effective leadership in various settings. I love working with children and making a positive impact on their lives.

I've always found joy in nurturing and caring for children, making sure their time with me is not only safe but also filled with laughter and fun. Pursuing my early childhood education degree has deepened my understanding of children's development, allowing me to tailor activities that promote their growth and well-being. Since my high school days, I've been honing my skills as a babysitter, learning the ins and outs of childcare and building strong connections with the families I've worked with. This combination of hands-on experience and ongoing education fuels my passion for providing exceptional care as a sitter or nanny.

I am a mom of 3 wonderful boys , experienced nanny, mother's helper and sleep trainer. I also worked as a teacher's aide in a family daycare for approximately 2 years with kids ages newborn to 10 years old. Experienced with shares as well as one on one nanny care. I am looking for a new family to share my love with and help in the successful growth and development of your little one as they age. I love planning enriching trips to neighborhood spots, and being a nanny for so long I am linked with a whole network of nannies that love to meet at playgrounds and libraries. My duties include everything baby. Some examples are Laundry, bottles, meal prep, organizing and tiding. If you have any questions I am more than happy and willing to answer them for you. Great References available! I also do date nights and have separate date night References available! 4 hour min. for each session.

So I am kindly asking you please to let me share it with you also. I work short hours and long hours, and I enjoy my jobs. It's so rewarding to be able to support families in such a joyful moment in their lives, with their bundle of joy. The most important aspects of my jobs is to share my love with first Second third and fourth time mom and there babies. I take pride in teaching parents how to care for their growing baby with confidence, and tune in to what their baby is trying to communicate to them. I grew up with 1 younger sister and brother. I was pretty much my brother's caregiver growing up, and he even called me Mommy. After high school, I started doing childcare and was lucky to develop long-term relationships with a lot of families I also did a bunch of occasional sitting with families of lots of different backgrounds. It was a fun and exciting learning experience. I have worked with children for over 20 years, from ages newborn to fifteen. I have worked with kids of all needs and abilities, and have vast experience working with neurodiverse children. I have done everything from meal prep, bath time, after-school pickup/drop off, supervising play dates, art projects, trips - you name it, I think I've pretty much done it all! I really enjoy being outdoors with children, and I love that New York City has so much to do. I love taking kids to new places and giving them fun experiences. Child growth and development are extremely interesting and important to me, and I love watching children learn and grow as they play. I especially enjoy playing a part in their learning experiences. I have a variety of interests that I enjoy sharing with children. I engage in a lot of mutual aid work and use my experiences and learnings to teach children about the importance of caring for and being cared for by others. I love to sing and try to impart some of that love to the children I work with. Family is also incredibly important to me, and I love working with children to help them understand the importance of being involved in the family structure and activities. I love animals and enjoy learning more about them with children. The biggest motivation for me to continue with childcare is that I recognize that children ARE our future - this generation could very well be the generation that saves us, and I want to take part in educating and helping that generation thrive. I also sincerely enjoy the time I spend with kids - they are much wiser and kinder than we often give them credit for!! It's so fun to see a kid's perspective on the world, and I learn just as much as they do from each interaction.
