Carol S.
Sitter / Nanny
Carol has been taking care of kids since she was a kid herself in Connecticut. She loves to nurture, protect, teach and create. She brings joy, laughter, and fun, and often becomes good friends with the children. Children are very important to Carol. Her many films for PBS have always contained a strong educational component, and one of her most rewarding projects was working at Bank St. College for five years on an award-winning science and math series for 4th-6th graders. Most of Carol's babysitting experience is with grade-schoolers, providing help with pick-ups, homework, and meal prep. She creates safe and happy spaces for children. She is responsible, smart, energetic, honest, kind and fun. Carol graduated with a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.

Jeanine D.
Sitter / Nanny
Hi, my name is Jeanine Darby & it is a pleasure to tell you a little bit about myself. I am only 21 years old but i have years of experience with working with newborns & kids as old as 15. I’ve also had some experience with mentoring & tutoring my peers throughout college. My experience with all age groups would definitely tell you that i could excel wherever you need me & that I’m also extremely patient. I enjoy helping others & learning new things that the kids may be interested in. Some of my favorite activities to do with children are arts & crafts, bake, sing, dance, take walks, & assist them with homework. Fun fact about myself, I absolutely love math. In my first year of college I was the only person to score nothing but 90’s & higher on my Calculus assignments. I absolutely love helping children find the same interest I have with math. With infants, i have experience changing diapers, preparing formula/bottles, bathing, rocking them to sleep, & also just having fun with them. I find it most exciting to read & sing to babies. I’ll do anything just to brighten a child’s day.

Samantha S.
Sitter / Nanny
I have over 10 years of experience babysitting kids from infants up to adolescents. I was a lifeguard in high school and was the go-to swim coach and babysitter for families in my neighborhood. In addition to coaching, I organized field trips, playdates and led sports and activities - I was essentially a private camp counselor every summer! I have also tutored all subjects in the elementary levels and history up to university level. I have a degrees in museum arts and modern history, so I am pretty fun in museums! I like to spark children's curiosity in the world around them and then help them explore ways to find answers to their questions. I speak conversational French. For bookings outside of NYC, additional fees for tolls may apply.

I am a student at Barnard college of Columbia University in Morningside Heights, Manhattan. I grew up in Chelsea and the Upper West side of Manhattan! I am undecided for major but thinking about the realm of Human rights, public policy and art history. I have had experience with being a mother's helper since I was around 10 years old, and began getting real babysitting jobs when I was 14. I mostly took care of neighbors' kids, from ages 2 to 8. I absolutely love getting to know kids of all ages, and supporting their energy with playing outside, art, games, and other activities! I enjoy helping kids with their homework as well. As for light housework, I often help family members with house organization, dorm mates, etc. I have always been one to keep my space clean/organized and like doing the same for others.

Aaliyah B.
Sitter / Nanny
What makes me a great sitter and nanny is the combination of my hands on experience, intentional education, and genuine commitment to children and families. I am a BMCC–NYU pathway student and have completed coursework focused on child development, which allows me to approach caregiving with both practical skill and a strong understanding of children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs. I began caring for children professionally in 2021, working in upstate New York through a small family daycare as well as within my church and local community. During this time, I supported children of various ages in both group and family settings. Helping with daily routines, play based learning, meals, naps, and emotional support. These early experiences gave me a strong foundation in patience, responsibility, and understanding how children grow across developmental stages. In July 2023, I moved to New York City and transitioned from primarily part time childcare into more full time and long term nanny roles. Over the past 2.5 years, I’ve worked closely with families in private homes caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school aged children, including children with special needs. I’ve maintained at least one consistent long term role while also taking on temporary and short term positions intentionally, allowing me to build a broad, well rounded skill set and adapt to different family dynamics and needs. Having a mix of long term and temporary roles reflects my intentional approach, not a lack of commitment. Childcare is more than a job to me, it’s about building trust, growing alongside a family, and being a steady, reliable presence in a child’s life. I find the most fulfillment in long term relationships where I can truly get to know a family and support their children as they grow. Throughout my experience, my responsibilities have included feeding, sleep routines, diapering, potty training, play based learning, emotional regulation, homework support, and childcare related household tasks. Families often describe me as reliable, nurturing, emotionally intuitive, and easy to communicate with. I approach every role with professionalism, consistency, and care, and I take pride in being someone parents feel confident trusting and growing with.
