Elisabeth B.
Sitter / Nanny · Night Nanny
I have been around children all of my life. My mom was an early childhood pre school teacher and growing up I would always “skip” school to be her assistant the day. In middle school I began babysitting neighbors’ and friends’ children, and when I was fourteen I began teaching swim lessons at the local rec center!

Originally a math teacher from Paraguay, Bernarda (Berny) is patient, has a great sense of humor and is always full of energy! She has experience teaching children math through college level. Since moving to the states, she has been working as a nanny and private math tutor. As a nanny, Bernarda has experience watching children from just under one years old and older. She has played a crucial role in the development of many of the children she worked with – everything from helping them learn to walk to helping them with their homework once they are in school. Activities she can do with kids are: reading books, painting, building blocks or Legos, assist with play dates, take the children to the playground and play outdoor sports Bernarda loves to cook healthy food and teach children positive habits. She will often give kids a mix of fruit and veggies, tuna salad, sandwiches, smoothies; but is also happy to follow your diet. She has been the primary cook for the family of 2 boys previously, where she was responsible for making sure they are fed, as the parents had hectic work schedules. Sitter / Nanny
My experience as a babysitter has been amazing, in almost 6 years I worked with two families, and I learned so much from them. The first family was a new experience for me because I was with a really special boy. He was so sweet and loving, but he needed me more than anything, since his mom needed to work and he doesn't has a full body mobility. I fed and changed him and learnt everything about him. I had to be really delicate and had a good schedule prepared for every meal and cleaning. I created activities or reading sessions that he used to love, so he could be happy and entertained. I used to do some exercises for him on his hands and legs, following his moms instructions always. I was with him for 2 years, until they moved to another state. The second family I worked with had two wonderful kids, one boy of 2 years and a girl of 5 years. Their parents worked long hours and I used to stay with them for almost 10 hours daily. I cooked for them everyday, teaching everything they needed to learn for their ages. The 2 year old boy was learning how to talk and express himself so I was always practicing activities that would help him develop all his abilities, and the 5 year old girl was at school already, but when I used to pick her from school she was always full of energy, so I always came out with different games and activities, at home or at the park, she used to love arts and crafts, so I was always prepared, all this of course after I help her finished her homework. I also work part-time jobs with two other families, one with a new born, usually helping her mom during the night and the other one with a 3 year old boy. Prior to moving to New York, I was a lawyer in Venezuela and advocated for children's rights. I specialized in kids and adolescents mental and physical protection, I did courses about how to help them grow in a healthy way and healthy environments. I love working with children - both as their advocate and caregiver! I am available for flexible, part-time bookings.

Julie G.
Sitter / Nanny
Hi, I'm Julie! I am looking for a part-time position on the Upper East Side as I job-search and hopefully continue once I am hired as well. I have been working in the childcare/education system for 7+ years. I have experience with all aged child care (infants, toddlers, preschool) as well as elementary and middle school aged kids. I have loved my positions as a summer-time nanny, daycare support teacher, pre-K teacher, and 3rd and 4th grade teacher. I love engaging kids in many different ways of play from STEM activities to reading to outdoor play. With my experience teaching elementary school, I can also assist with homework and summer enrichment activities. I love spending time outdoors and going on walks, so pets are a plus!
