I am really good with kids and they love my warm, lovely smile all the time and they always seem to get used to me in a short time. Additionally, I am really patient with kids whenever it comes to teach them some stuff. And I have one year experience back in time, in Turkey.

Anisha Z.
Sitter / Nanny
I am an incoming graduate student at New York University, where I will be obtaining a Master’s in Social Work. Prior to this new chapter in my life, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I received a B.S. in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science. For some parts of my undergraduate years, I would babysit after classes and here and there on the weekends for extended family members, friends, and more. My last two years of undergraduate, I started tutoring not only at the university level but also elementary to high school level as well. Once I graduated from VCU, I started working at a behavioral health clinic, where I learned the importance of expressive/exploration groups. I believe through simple expressive activities such as art, dance, or even music can truly benefit a child’s growth and development. It teaches them to be creative and think outside the box. As someone who used to take Southeast Asian dance classes every weekend from elementary school to high school, I credit a lot of who I am today to dancing. While babysitting, I enjoy doing arts and craft projects, reading books together, singing and dancing. I speak conversational Bengali, as well. I have worked with children with mild autism. I am available on the weekends, and only for Thursday mornings.

Carol has been taking care of kids since she was a kid herself in Connecticut. She loves to nurture, protect, teach and create. She brings joy, laughter, and fun, and often becomes good friends with the children. Children are very important to Carol. Her many films for PBS have always contained a strong educational component, and one of her most rewarding projects was working at Bank St. College for five years on an award-winning science and math series for 4th-6th graders. Most of Carol's babysitting experience is with grade-schoolers, providing help with pick-ups, homework, and meal prep. She creates safe and happy spaces for children. She is responsible, smart, energetic, honest, kind and fun. Carol graduated with a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
