I am in my last year of studying Speech-Language Pathology and minoring in education. I have been babysitting for about six years, as well as serving as a translator and Spanish tutor from time to time. I just finished a program called Therapy Abroad in the Dominican Republic which focused on professional experiences with faculty-led Speech language pathologists in the Dominican Republic. I gained some hands-on experience working with kids from ages 2-4 years old. I've always enjoyed being around kids, teaching them and helping them accomplish the milestones based on their age, reading and having fun activities for them to do whether it's arts and crafts, labelling etc.

Aside from working with NyC parks and recreation, i am also a babysitter for my mother. I help her with her foster kids. Over the years from working with her and close relatives I have gained a great deal of knowledge working with babies, toddlers, and . Most of the children my mother has been given had disabilities to some degree. The main one that I’ve experienced was severe autism she also currently has a baby with macular Dystrophy. I keep both of them comfortable and entertained all day and we have fun and hang out. Although they have been with us for a while they are both used to day to day life living with us. Its has been pretty easy. They are fed on schedule, and we would also sit with them while they had physical therapy session and learned how we could engage with them the appropriate way. Learning what they liked and didn't like. Sleeping is very important for children as well, so i make sure to keep them busy throughout a day and at least one nap after lunch. Reading to children I have noticed really helps them fall asleep or playing calming sounds. I provide simple housing cleaning support, postpartum support, diaper changing as well as bathing.

I’m a very outgoing energetic female who love kids, I loved babysitting my niece and nephews for my sisters. I would invent creative things to do, play fun games and just let kids be kids. I find that children have always connected to my personality and my exciting spirit. I’ve worked at a after school program for 4 years with children from the ages 3-18 years old and I enjoyed and learned so much. From teaching these kids, giving one on one tutor sessions, picking them up from school and bringing them to the center safe and sound was some of the many duties. I provided a fun safe environment for these children and making parents feel at ease knowing they kids were safe with me while they are at work. I am CPR and First Aid Kit certified. I’ve babysat for 3 families one family had 2 kids which I’ve been babysitting her kids from 2 years of age till now when needed. I change diapers, feed, burp babies, I’m very reliable and dependable. Have a lot of patience and compassion. I also do light house keeping, washing dishes, folding laundry, cleaning up areas that needs to be tidy. I also take kids to the park and any other outdoor activities (zoo, museum, carnival) if that’s ok with parents. I do know how to cook meals and food prep. I have a drivers license if needed to drive anywhere.

When the baby is ready, I help with sleep training by teaching the baby self soothing techniques and getting them used to a napping and bedtime routine. I maintain a thorough log of baby's feeding, diaper changes and sleep patterns, and happy to answer parents' questions. I also provide postpartum support and lactation assistance to new moms. I own a car and can drive to most locations in the NY metropolitan area. I am also available for 24hr live-in help at $500 per day. Please note I can only accept bookings that are at least 8-hour minimum per session.

Hello there! I'm Jasmin. I am currently a student at the University of Rochester; pursuing a double bachelor's degree in African and African-American studies along with Anthropology.
