Sitter / Nanny

I have 5+ years of experience working with children. I have taught math and literacy in an elementary school based in Bronx, NY for 3+ years grades K-4. I worked in an early childhood center with all ages for 2 years based in Manhattan, NY. Also, I worked in a nursery school with ages 2-5 for 2 years based in Westchester, County. Also, I worked in a daycare for 1 year based in the Bronx. I like to tailor the activities I do with a child to their particular interests. With this in mind, though, I've done many activities in the past to keep children engaged both physically and mentally while their parents are away. We can do arts and crafts, puzzles, play board games, Dancing and Singing to children's music. We can build blocks or Legos. Also, I like to do story time and puppet shows!

Sitter / Nanny

Hello there! I'm Jasmin. I am currently a student at the University of Rochester; pursuing a double bachelor's degree in African and African-American studies along with Anthropology. In the future, I intend on working towards a Doctorate in Education. My longest and most recent experience working with people who are younger than me- was with the Upward Bound Program at my university. Here I assisted university staff in recruiting, involving, and mentoring Rochester City School District Highschool students; in a year-round program dedicated to helping low-income students with their college application process. I have worked here from the end of my freshman year until my senior year before covid-19. Simultaneously improving my education and that of others, highlighted that to reach a goal we have to be well round and fluid. I've worked with Highschool students as their instructor, mentor, and supervisor- all while helping them take on their personal and interpersonal problems, weaknesses, and anxieties that would come in the way of their education.

Sitter / Nanny

I love working with children and bring patience, creativity, and responsibility to every family I work with. I have hands-on experience caring for kids from infants through age 12, & worked with kids with special needs. which has taught me how to adapt to different age groups and their unique needs. I am CPR certified, hold a valid driver’s license, and have a high school diploma, so families can trust that I am both qualified and reliable. Beyond providing safe and dependable care, I enjoy planning fun and educational activities that support each child’s growth and creativity. I’m reliable, organized, and communicate openly with parents to ensure routines and expectations are consistent. Most importantly, I treat every child with kindness, respect, and patience, making sure they feel safe, happy, and supported.

Sitter / Nanny

Hi, My Name is Monae I'm 22 years old. I've worked for an afterschool program in Scan Harbor. I cared for children ages 5-11 years old - I helped students with their homework. I made different academic activities for the students to participate in, with different activities each day. Some activities were critical thinking lessons, some were games. some days we did different art lessons that went with each season. I started as a group leader in which I helped assist the student with homework help, preparing supper for them. I prepared activities for them to engage in each day Monday- Friday. Then I became team leader for being an outstanding worker.
